Vaultumi Terms of Use
Effective date: [OWNER: fill in at release]
Publisher: [OWNER: legal entity name], [OWNER: address], support@vaultumi.com
Draft for owner review. These terms supplement, and do not replace, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple Standard EULA", https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). Unless the owner uploads a custom EULA in App Store Connect, the Apple Standard EULA applies to the license of the app itself; this document then covers the additional points below and should be linked from the app and the App Store listing. Governing law and venue are owner decisions and should be checked with counsel.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Vaultumi you agree to these terms and to the Apple Standard EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. What Vaultumi is
Vaultumi stores photos and videos in an encrypted vault on your device, protected by a PIN, an optional Face ID, and a recovery code. There is no account and no server.
3. Your responsibility for your secrets and data
- We cannot recover your data. We hold no copy of your PIN, recovery code, backup passphrase or keys. If you lose your PIN and your recovery code, and have no backup you can open, your vault cannot be opened by anyone, including us.
- Keep your recovery code somewhere safe and offline. Keep your backup passphrase safe. Create backups regularly.
- You are responsible for the content you store. You must have the right to store it and must not use Vaultumi for anything unlawful.
- Deleting the app, using "Delete all data", or erasing your device permanently deletes the vault unless you have a backup.
4. Free plan and Premium
- The free plan includes up to 50 stored items and 2 albums, PIN and Face ID protection, encryption, export, backup and recovery.
- Premium unlocks unlimited items and albums, the decoy vault, the private camera, advanced security customisation and additional organisation tools. Features may be adjusted in future versions.
- Your existing media is never locked or deleted if Premium ends. If Premium lapses you may be unable to add new items beyond the free limits or use Premium features, but you can always view, export and back up what is already stored, and you can always restore a backup. Export, backup, restore and recovery are never behind a purchase.
5. Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are made through your Apple ID and are governed by Apple's terms. Subscription terms, renewal and cancellation are described in the Subscription disclosures section below (also shown in the app at the point of purchase). Prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by country and tax. Refunds are handled by Apple (reportaproblem.apple.com). A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment for Premium for as long as the app is offered; it does not oblige us to support future operating systems indefinitely.
6. Acceptable use
You will not reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code except as permitted by law; use the app to store or distribute unlawful content; or use it in a way that infringes others' rights. Security research in good faith is welcome; contact [OWNER: security contact email].
7. Honest limits of protection
Vaultumi uses standard encryption and is built to protect your files at rest. It does not protect against a compromised or jailbroken device, malware, someone observing your screen or PIN, a weak backup passphrase, or forensic analysis. The decoy vault is a convenience and is not guaranteed to be undetectable. iOS does not allow apps to block screenshots. Originals you delete from your Photos library remain in Recently Deleted for about 30 days and may exist in synchronised copies. You use these features at your own risk and should keep independent backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its name, logo and content (other than yours) belong to [OWNER: legal entity name]. You keep all rights in your own photos and videos. We do not access, claim or license them.
9. Disclaimer of warranty
To the extent permitted by law, Vaultumi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error free or that data will never be lost, for example through device failure, iOS bugs or lost secrets.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud), and consumer rights under mandatory local law remain.
11. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time. We may stop offering the app. These terms end when you delete the app; sections that by nature survive continue.
12. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and material changes will be noted in the release notes.
13. Governing law
[OWNER/COUNSEL: governing law and venue, e.g. the law of ____, subject to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.]

Subscription disclosures
Premium is available as an auto-renewing yearly or monthly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. The price is shown in the App Store, and in the app at the point of purchase, exactly as the App Store returns it for your country, including applicable taxes.
Auto-renewing subscriptions
Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the price of the selected plan. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions by going to your Account Settings on the App Store after purchase.
Lifetime purchase
Vaultumi Premium Lifetime is a one-time purchase charged to your Apple ID at confirmation. It does not renew. It unlocks Premium for as long as the app is offered, and can be restored on your devices with the same Apple ID using Restore Purchases.
In plain language
- Premium never locks, hides or deletes media you have already stored. If Premium ends you keep access to everything, and can export and back up it all.
- Export, backup, restore and recovery are never part of Premium.
- Free plan: up to 50 stored items and 2 albums.
- Price shown is the App Store price for your country, including applicable taxes.
Terms of Use and EULA
Unless stated otherwise in the App Store listing, Appleās Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to the license of the app: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These Terms of Use supplement it.
